Wex Photo Video has opened a new Fixation repair service centre at its Manchester store, dedicated to supporting its professional customers in the North.
To celebrate the launch, the Fixation Manchester team will be offering free pro-standard sensor cleaning services from launch day on 17 July to 19 July inclusive. This service will be available ‘while-you-wait’ and bookings are not required, but customers are advised to come along as early as possible as demand is expected to be high on the three opening days.
With an outstanding reputation in the photographic community, particularly among professional photographers and filmmakers, Fixation has offered advanced repair services at its London premises since it was founded by Mike Allen in 1988; a reputation that has continued to grow since the business was acquired by Wex in October 2015. Until now, the London-based centre has provided support to individuals and businesses throughout the whole of the UK.
With the launch of the new service centre at Wex Photo Video’s Manchester location, Fixation will serve camera owners across the North, offering diagnosis, testing, advanced sensor-cleaning, maintenance and repairs carried out by expertly trained technicians. Thanks to this local facility, Fixation will deliver much improved turnaround times to meet the needs of working professional photographers and videographers based within the region.
Fixation is an authorised camera and lens repair partner for Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Sony and several other manufacturers. In addition to serving freelance photographers and smaller businesses, it is also an official, trusted supplier to numerous major private and public sector organisations including police forces, universities and large retailers.
Opened in September 2018, the Wex Photo Video Manchester store is located at Unit 4, Downing Street Industrial Estate, Charlton Place, Manchester M12 6HH. Customers can visit the Fixation centre in person or book services online at www.fixationuk.com.
Matt Devine, head of inbound marketing at Wex Photo Video, said, “Professional photographers and filmmakers have depended on Fixation services for many years. The brand has developed a strong reputation for unrivalled support, quality and reliability, and is very much valued by freelance photographers and major press agencies.
“The launch of our dedicated Fixation repair desk in Manchester will enable our teams to deliver an enhanced service to those based in the north of the country. In particular, we envisage that turnaround times for testing, diagnosis, sensor-cleaning and other essential activities will be significantly reduced for local photographers. We look forward to welcoming customers at the new centre and to strengthening our status as the leading photo and video support service in the UK.”
